More than 50 people targeted for arrest on this one, again in Wise County. The Virginia State Police, Big Stone Gap, Coeburn, Wise, St. Paul, and the city of Norton police departments are rounding them up now.

If you don't care post the names whenever they are released. Curious to see if it's the same crew again.

Tricities.com says the indictments are for distribution..not possession. But it also says they are looking for 56 folks in Wise Co.

Most of the time it is the same people, but every once in a while, they will "pop" a new name, one that usually surprises people. I just find it interesting that probably most of the numbers arrested in recent years in Wise county alone on this street sweeper "dragnet" comprises probably 15-20 percent of the county's population. Granted, a lot of them are repeat offenders, but the shear numbers are staggering, considering our population.

Agreed, it's on going problem with no real solution in sight. We as a community need to come up with some plan to rid this from our area. You've got old people on pills who cant afford their bills selling their pills to teens and young adults who become addicted. Their needs to be alternatives to drugs imo, and sadly in SWVA once you leave high school there are few.
